Background
KAYAN builds the leadership skills of Palestinian women in Israel and supports them to play a significant role in claiming their rights against the patriarchal society. KAYAN mobilises women for their active participation in public life and decision-making processes to counter gender discrimination in families, communities and society.
In legal work, they intensively address institutional obstacles to women's rights. They empower Arab women to claim their rights and advocate for social, political, economic and legal reforms that sustainably improve the status and rights of Palestinian women.
